The Delhi Wood exhibition for woodworking and furniture components, organized by PDA Trade Fairs, has outgrown its original biennial format due to the immense potential of the Indian market. Starting in 2009, DELHI WOOD has been held in the northern capital, Delhi, while INDIA WOOD and DELHI WOOD have since alternated between Bangalore and Delhi.

Highly specialized: This exhibition has expanded its offerings to include wooden doors and windows, wood flooring, parquet flooring, and aluminum kitchen furniture fixtures. It also serves as a technology and product procurement platform in New Delhi, providing an innovative, expert‑level platform for cutting‑edge technologies and solutions worldwide.

Highly international: In 2017, DELHIWOOD attracted 497 exhibiting companies from 30 countries, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Poland, Russia, Singapore, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The show welcomed 25,935 professional visitors from 789 cities across 53 countries, a 50% increase compared to 2015. In 2017, the total exhibition space at the India Woodworking Show reached 28,000 square meters.

Market Background: India’s woodworking machinery industry is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the country’s economy. Since India joined the WTO in the early 1990s, the industry has experienced rapid expansion, thanks to relatively liberal import regulations. This has facilitated the mechanization and large-scale production of India’s wood-processing sector, while also driving technological modernization across the entire industry.
